Strength training boosts energy levels
Study results: Strength
Our study showed that regular strength training increased strength by an average of 24% in 6 months. This strength gain had a positive effect on many areas of participants’ lives: In particular, it reduced pain, significantly boosted performance and generally improved quality of life.
Why is strength so important?
Until about 25 years of age, strength increases year on year. From then on, it’s downhill. Muscles atrophy and fatty tissue takes their place making our figure less taut. This loss of muscle also robs us of energy because muscles are our internal power pack. They support us day in, day out throughout life. Regular strength training reverses the loss of muscle as it particularly targets muscles and exposes them to high levels of resistance. The result: more of the energy that we so urgently need.
The participants - "Just what I expected from a good workout"
